Traveling comfortably in the bus will drive you through the streets of the most beautiful views in the city: the Riviera di Chiaia, the waterfront Mergelina via Petrarca ( with photo stop), the hill of Posillipo with its charming panorama, via Caracciolo, Castel dell' Ovo (the oldest in Naples praised by Virgil and built almost on the water in the ninth century), Saint Lucia, an old fishing village, until you reach Piazza Municipio with its imposing Castle called " Angevin ". Built 700 years ago by Charles of Anjou, the castle later became the luxurious residence of kings and viceroys. There will also be some free time you can devote to shopping and then we will continue with a guided tour of the Teatro San Carlo, one of the most beautiful and oldest in Europe.
The Teatro di San Carlo was built by order of King Charles of Borbone, who believed that the theater should replace the small and ancient St. Bartholomew’s.
