3 reasons to choose "The Path of the Gods"
1
Walk in relaxation along the path to fully enjoy the scenic beauty of the Amalfi Coast, full of colors and scents, with its rocky slopes interspersed with small villages.2
3
Move along a path surrounded by ancient legends, the same path the gods walked to reach the sea of Positano, and save Ulysses from the Sirens.
The Path of the Gods is an amazing scenic route overlooking the Amalfi Coast. Just from its name you will start to make sense of its amazing magnificence. We move from Vettica Maggiore , a small town located along the coast between Amalfi and Positano, and through a staircase , you arrive in over half an hour, at the religious complex of " San Domenico " (located in a lovely location about 400 meters above sea level), where you can visit the church of " St. Maria Castro"and the adjacent Dominican convent dating back to the 16th century. Once there, we will lose between the typical crops of the territories, heather and rosemary, holm oak forests and wilder areas with caves and deep coves, suspended somewhere between sky and sea, in a unique scenery. After a short stop and the visit of the religious complex, you will reach in 30/45 minutes, the famous "Path of the Gods", going from east to west in the direction of Nocelle. After about 2 hours of driving, we come to Nocelle, a small village of just 300 inhabitants that still preserves the atmosphere of "once upon a time". Here we will stop for a lunch in the only restaurant in the area where we will enjoy typical local products.
From Nocelle will continue in the direction of Positano with about an hour of walk. The degree of difficulty of the hike is average, you may want to equip yourselves with clothing and comfortable shoes ( preferably long pants and ankle boots), camera, water and sunscreen.
Duration of route: 4/5 hours approx.
