Pompei alla scoperta della città sepolta

A fascinating journey across Pompeii back to 2,000 years ago, brought to light only at the end of 1700, after the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD had covered it with tons of ash, pumice and lapilli. It was also covered with about six feet of soil, which made possible the preservation of its urban structure and some Domus.
The guided tour will start from the Porta Marina, through which you access the Forum, the center of political and economic life of the city, dominated by the Temple of Jupiter and the Basilica. We will continue exploring the shops, crafts, spas and patrician houses with fascinating frescoes and mosaics, to the impressive plaster casts of the bodies of the victims of the tragic eruption of 79 AD. Another stop will be the Casa di Caccia, the House of the Faun, noble private residence, and to follow the Baths. After the tour we will stop at one of the most famous factories for the processing of corals and cameos, which is located in the city of Pompeii.

Note: The visit to the excavation involves a walk of about 2 hours. You should wear comfortable walking shoes.
